Kairat Almaty Come to Bergamo | UECL League Phase MD3
A first-ever meeting with the Kazakh side on Thursday 5 November
Following Pafos and Ajax, the Nerazzurri will face Kazakhstan's Kairat Almaty on Matchday 3 of the UEFA Conference League League Phase. The fixture will mark the first-ever meeting between the two sides and will take place on Thursday 5 November, kicking off at 18:45 CET.
Founded over 70 years ago, Kairat have won five Kazakh league titles, including back-to-back triumphs in 2024 and 2025. The Almaty side finished runners-up in the 2026 domestic championship, which runs from March to autumn, ending their campaign on 65 points, three behind champions Ordabasy Shymkent. Their season concluded on Saturday 31 October with a 1-1 home draw against Altay Vko, sealing second place after 30 rounds.
On the European front, Kairat have collected one point from their opening two UEFA Conference League fixtures. They began their League Phase campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Riga FC before falling to a 5-1 home defeat against Panathinaikos on Matchday 2.
Last season, the Kazakh club made history by reaching the UEFA Champions League League Phase for the first time. Their debut campaign ended with one point from eight matches, secured through a goalless home draw against Pafos.
