Presenting "I ragazzi del dottor Brolis"

It was a truly special morning, marked by the unveiling of "I ragazzi del dottor Brolis"(Dr. Brolis' lads), a book that pays tribute to the legacy of Dr. Brolis. Far from a simple nostalgic reflection, the volume intertwines voices, memories, and personal accounts to recreate the portrait of a man who knew how to spot talent, guide young players along their path, and become a point of reference for so many. Page after page, the portrait emerges of someone who, with vision and sensitivity, helped lay the foundations of what the Atalanta Youth Sector is today. A story born from the very people who lived it: his "lads", those he saw, believed in and helped shape. -personal stories that together form the most authentic legacy of Dr. Brolis.

The book also features the recollection of President Antonio Percassi, who recalls his first encounter with Dr. Brolis and the profound impact it had on his development, first as a person and then as a footballer. His words and yet another valuable piece to the portrait of a figure whose influence extended far beyond sporting careers, shaping people above all.

The unveiling was held in the conference hall of the New Balance Academy - Mino Favini, a fitting setting for a story rooted in growth, values and identity. "I Ragazzi del Dottor Brolis" is co-authored by Maria Teresa Brolis, the doctor's daughter and Marco Carobbio.

Also speaking at the event was Alessandro Rambaldi, who wrote the book’s foreword. Among the guests were Nado Bonaldi, the dean of Bergamo’s coaches, who, together with Mario Mutti, shared his memories of Dr. Brolis, adding further depth, humanity, and colour to an already rich portrait. Alongside them were the other "lads" who had been discovered and nurtured by this remarkable judge of talent.

Hosting the event was Head of Atalanta's Youth Sector Roberto Samaden, who emphasised how Dr. Brolis’ teachings remain as relevant as ever and continue to serve as a vital source of inspiration.
