Grief over the passing of Francesco Pizzi

Atalanta, deeply moved, mourn the passing of Francesco Pizzi.

Pizzi, a defensive midfielder who could also cover the role of centre-back, donned the black-and-blue shirt accruing 23 appearances over the course of two different seasons - namely, the 1957/58 and the 1961/62 single campaigns.

President Antonio Percassi, co-chairman Stephen Pagliuca and the whole Atalanta family commemorate Francesco Pizzi's legacy and, sharing the pain felt by all his loved ones, wish to tender their most heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathies.
