GOTM: Samardžić's encore in November!
Voted by the Nerazzurri fans on all our social accounts
Last but not the least, Lazar Samardžić! With a literal "fulmen in clausula", the black-and-blue number 24 put the exclamation point, both literally and figuratively, on a pinch-me November... First player to make a double-tap in the GOTM Golden Book, the Serbian midfielder recovered the sceptre, after being kindly "spotted" by CDK in October, with the backhand finish to make it "game-set-match" in the 6-1 walkover in Bern, which, due to an ironic sign of fate, coincided with our very last goal of the month just passed. As previously occurred in September, Samardžić's blow registered a shoo-in once again, amassing almost 2/3 of the global votes. Completing the podium, Ademola Lookman's second in our maiden November outing at the Maradona stadium and de Nipoti's strike against Caldiero Terme.
As per custom, climb up the standings and sift through the "exit polls" (in between brackets the "approval rate"):

4th place: Federico Simonetto, Atalanta 3-0 Empoli, 2024-2025 Primavera 1 MD13 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti”
Fourth place for our Primavera player Federico Simonetto! The black-and-blue wingback sets this month's special going with his opener in our 3-0 win over Empoli. After cutting across from the left flank and fainting his way past his marker, he unleashed a right-footer from range Partenza dalla fascia destra, controllo a saltare il marcatore e tiro a giro dalla distanza, tutto di destro... Una conclusione imparabile che è valso il cucchiaio di legno di questo mese!
Back-to-back wins for Atalanta Primavera! After the emphatic Youth League walkover claimed in Bern against Young Boys, the Nerazzurri doubled down with a 3-0 home thrashing in their 2024-2025 Primavera 1 “Trofeo Giacinto Facchetti” MD13 game against Empoli.
3rd place: Tommaso De Nipoti, Atalanta U23s 2-0 Caldiero Terme, 2024/24 Serie C NOW MD16
And the first medal of this month's pageant goes to... Tommaso De Nipoti! Coach Modesto's number 9 snatches the bronze medal with the goal that put the Caldiero Terme game on ice. Subbed in on 60 minutes, TDN wasted no time and tipped the scale first thing first, just 4 minutes after making his entry on the pitch: 240 seconds, that's all it took Tommaso to break the match in two. Upon gathering the ball from the left, Atalanta U23s' striker cut through and fired the ball past Giacomel and into the top corner to make it 2-0 in Cravaggio.
Runner-up: Ademola Lookman, Atalanta 0-3 Napoli, 2024-2025 Serie A Enilive MD11;
Lookman state 11 at the Maradona! A second place for the Nigerian's second of the Naples outing: after breaking the deasdlock with his 8th-minute volley to put the frosting on a great team play, the striker went solo to sew up his brace aggainst the "Azzurri". 30 minutes on the stopwatch and bang went Mola: after taming de Ketelaere's pass our number 11 unleashed a ranged missile into the opposite bottom corner from the offensive third. Simply a stellar strike for silver finish.
Winner: Lazar Samardžić, Young Boys-Atalanta 1-6, 2024-2025 UEFA Champions League MD5
Take a bow to this month's winner: Lazar Samardžić! Another scoring debut, this time in the Champions League, and another GOTM gold for the Serbian who, after bringing the prize home with his very first goal back in September, stayed true to his mission statement and made it 2/2 in November with his very first black-and-blue "high C" on the European stage. A fully-fledged "Eurogoal" if you catch our drift... After all, the 6-1 net from the Bern night is nothing more and nothing less than a digest on our number 24's panache: upon wreaking havoc across the right flank, he skipped past three defenders with just 5 ball touches, making the whole lot with his sole only, before nutmegging another YB player to lock and load the finishing blow: a snooker shot towards the left post. A goal of pure aesthetics, the perfect match of exquisite technique, quick feet and superb craftmanship. From naught to GOTM in 7 seconds flat!
