Giugliano 3-1 Atalanta U23s
Manzoni on target for the Nerazzurri
Atalanta U23s' run of good form was halted by Giugliano, as the Nerazzurri fell 3-1 at the Alberto De Cristofaro Stadium in Campania on Matchday 32 of the 2025/26 Serie C Sky Wifi season.
A lively start at the De Cristofaro saw the home side threaten first in the 7th minute, but Vismara responded with a sharp save. Atalanta reacted in the 13th minute with a slick passing move involving Misitano, , Panada, and Cortinovis, though the latter’s finish lacked power. Four minutes later, Misitano went close again, creating a double chance, only for his shot to be blocked for a corner. In the 25th, Panada had a great opportunity, perfectly fed by Ghislandi into the box, but his finish went wide. Just a minute later, Giugliano struck first: Prado tapped in at an empty net following a poor Vismara clearance. The same striker doubled the lead in the 31st with a long-range effort that caught the Atalanta keeper off guard. Atalanta U23s hit back quickly, and in the 33rd minute, Panada carved out space and laid off for Manzoni, who drove a precise finish past the goalkeeper to reopen the game. Atalanta came close to an equalizer in the 38th, when Levak delivered for Cortinovis; on the defensive clearance, Ghislandi tried to connect, but couldn’t get the timing right on the shot.
In the second half, substitute Vavassori tried to keep Atalanta’s offensive tempo high. In the 62nd minute, he created a golden chance by finding Misitano all alone in the box, but the forward’s effort sailed over the bar. Two minutes later, Navarro tested the keeper with a long-range left-footed shot that went just wide. The changes brought energy to the U23s’ play, as they continued to hunt for an equalizer but struggled for precision in the final third. In the 79th, Cassa carved out space with a neat solo run into the box, only to fire over the bar. In the closing stages, however, the home side sealed the win. In the 87th minute, Ogunseye powered in a header from a corner, setting the final score at 3-1.
