Gian Piero Gasperini conferred the USSI-MCL award
Voted Serie A Coach of the Year by a panel of top football journalists
Gian Piero Gasperini has added yet another accolade to his trophy cabinet: today, Monday, April 28, the Atalanta BC manager was named 'Best Serie A Coach' for the 2023/24 season at the Coverciano Technical Centre during the fifth edition of "Inside The Sport", an award launched by USSI (the Italian Sports Press Union), under the guidance of National President Gianfranco Coppola and with support from the Movimento Cristiano Lavoratori (the Christian Workers’ Movement), led by Michele Cutolo.
Crowning coach Gasperini as the Serie A coach of the year, a panel of top-tier sports journalists: Ciro Venerato (Rai Sport), Alberto Polverosi (Corriere dello Sport), Alessandro Sugoni (Sky Sport), Carlo Laudisa (Gazzetta dello Sport), and Sandro Sabatini (Mediaset).
With this award, Gasperini follows in the footsteps of Luciano Spalletti and Vincenzo Italiano on the prestigious roll of honour.
