Friendly Juventus 0-0 Atalanta
All square in Cesena
The friendly against Juventus, which took place at the Orogel Stadium-Dino Manuzzi in Cesena, ended in a goalless draw. A good test to put some extra fuel in the legs ahead of the league opener away to Sassuolo, which is just eight days away.
The first half saw Musso make a few great saves on Weah, as the Argentine goalkeeper first parried his long-range effort in the 8th minute and then saved a deflected shot on 35 minutes. The Nerazzurri produced scoring threats through Koopmeiners, whose shot after a quick play was denied by a defender in the 26th minute, and, a few minutes later, through Éderson, who headed the effort into the arms of the goalkeeper.
The second half saw the two coaches make a bunch of substitutions. Juventus were dangerous on 68 minutes but Ruggeri came to the rescue and thwarted Soulé's attempt. At the other end, Touré stepped up a gear, skipped past a defender and hit a shot that skimmed the post. After both sides couldn't capitalize on their chances, as a Yildiz finish was over, a Koopmeiners effort was parried and an injury-time Scammaca header went over the bar, our pre-season friendly against Juventus ended 0-0 in Cesena.
The first-team squad will now enjoy two days off, as training will resume on Tuesday 15 August with an afternoon session behind closed doors taking place at the Centro Bortolotti.
