Atalanta For Special's joint training session at Zingonia
The second-tier side worked out with the Nerazzurri Men's Under-16s
Wednesday, 5 November, was an eventful afternoon at the Centro Bortolotti, with Atalanta For Special’s second-tier team and the Nerazzurri Men’s Under-16s taking part in a joint training session. This is a highly anticipated meeting scheduled every month.
This edition featured an important change: a full match replaced the usual mixed-squad scrimmage, an ambitious decision that proved rewarding for all participants.
It was also a first appearance in the Atalanta For Special jersey for goalkeeper Dario Carrara and forward Piero Grossi, both warmly welcomed by their teammates and standout performers in a memorable afternoon.
Among those watching from the sidelines were Giancarlo Finardi, Deputy Head of the Youth Academy, and Gianpaolo Bellini, former Atalanta captain and club icon, now working within the Academy. Their presence underscored once again how the Atalanta For Special project is a core part of the club’s educational and developmental vision.
The next session is set for Tuesday, November 12, in Nembro, for another opportunity to grow and share the values of sport together.
