In the 2025/26 Serie C Sky Wifi MD27 Atalanta U23s snatched a 1-0 win over Foggia with captain Panada’s brilliant strike proving the match-winner.

A cagey first half at the Pino Zaccheria: with the two sides sizing each other up and keeping things tight at the back, goalmouth action was few and far between in Foggia. At the break. the teams headed down the tunnel with the scoreboard still untouched at 0-0.

The second half changed pace from the very start: in the 55th minute Foggia went close, but a crucial intervention from Obrić on Tommasini kept the score level. Minutes later, Atalanta struck with a slick team play: although the Foggia defence managed to clear from a set-piece,Panada collected the ball at the edge of the box unleashing a thunderous, pinpoint right-foot strike that hit the back of the net. The final stages saw the chances come thick and fast. In the 81st minute, Cortinovis, set up by Vavassori inside the box, was denied by a solid block. A minute later, Navarro unleashed a volley from distance that just missed the target. In the 90th, Vismara produced a crucial save to keep out Tommasini’s sudden strike. Deep into stoppage time, the Nerazzurri went close to sealing the game on the counter: a two-on-one worked by Zanaboni, who squared to Vavassori, but the forward’s effort was smothered by the goalkeeper.
