First Team debut for 2007-born Idele against Pafos
The 2007-born Academy graduate came on in the closing stages of the Conference League match
The 80th minute of Atalanta v Pafos was a moment Javison Idele will never forget. The 2007-born winger made his First Team debut, replacing Kristensen and taking up position on the right side of the Nerazzurri defence.
Born in Bergamo to a family of Nigerian descent, Javison joined Atalanta's Academy at just nine years old. He has worn the Nerazzurri shirt since the 2016/17 season. Step by step, he progressed through every level of the club's youth system, moving quickly through the ranks before fulfilling his dream of making his First Team debut, having already gained valuable experience with the Under-23s.
Idele had, in fact, made his professional debut at just 17 with Atalanta Under-23s, for whom he has so far made 28 appearances across Serie C and the Coppa Italia Serie C.
Head Coach Maurizio Sarri had already named him among the substitutes for Monday's league fixture against Venezia before handing him his First Team debut in Thursday's UEFA Conference League match. Another Academy graduate making the step up to senior football, a source of pride for the club and an achievement shared by everyone who has contributed to Javison's development over the years.
