Éderson: 100 Atalanta appearances and a goal to go with it
The Brazilian midfielder crossed the "centenary line" against Genoa
Éderson couldn't ask for a better day to celebrate his first 100 appearances with the black-and-blue shirt: across the roaring success over Genoa, which brought three hefty points to the standing, and the undisputed banger scored by the Brazilian mid, who cleaved the ball under the roof of the net and dedicated his goal to his second child on the way (due for January), Saturday night was truly one to remember.
As a further crowning moment, at the end of the game came the dedicatory shirt, handed over to him by President Antonio Percassi himself right in front of the Pisani Curva, commemorating his 100th Atalanta appearance in all competitions.
A journey first begun on the 28th of August of 2022, on the occasion of the team's away win over Hellas Verona (below is a picture from the game). Since then, the Carioca pivot donned the black-and-blue shirt 78 times in the league, on 12 Europa League occasions, in 7 Coppa Italia matches, twice in the Champions League and once in the UEFA Super Cup, having scored 9 times and provided 4 assists in the meantime.
