Head Coach Maurizio Sarri and Eljif Elmas spoke to the media ahead of Atalanta's home clash with Kairat Almaty on Matchday 3 of the 2026/27 UEFA Conference League League Phase. The fixture kicks off tomorrow, Thursday 4 November, at 18:45 CET at the Stadio di Bergamo.
"The aim," said coach Sarri, "is to become increasingly united, continuing to work on every aspect. And being together at the training camp can help. We have a difficult match ahead of us, given our current situation. Let's not forget that Kairat have lost 2-1 to Inter and 3-2 to Arsenal over the last eleven months."
"We go into this match at a difficult time for us," said Elmas. "This training camp will do us good. We need to pick ourselves up and everyone needs to give something extra. Tomorrow we have the chance to show that we can bounce back and get through this difficult period together."
