Club Brugge v Atalanta: the fair-play event
The official lunch was held in a renowned restaurant in Bruges
As is customary, in the build-up to the first leg of the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League knockout phase play-off between Club Brugge and Atalanta BC, executives from both clubs met with UEFA representatives for the traditional official lunch - an event that underlines the principles of fair play, a value held in high esteem by the governing body of European football.
The official luncheon, which followed a tour of the town hall of Bruges, took place at the Restaurant ZET’JO, a famous bistro in the capital of West Flanders.
Representing Club Brugge were President Bart Verhaeghe, Honorary President Michel D'Hooghe, Vice-President Jan Boone, Board Members Lucas Verhaeghe, Peter Vanhecke, Bart Coeman and Sam Sabbe, CEO Bob Madou, CFO Nicky Laukens, Director of Football Devy Rigaux and Sports Director Maarten Dedobbeleer.
On Atalanta's side, the delegation included CEO Luca Percassi, Stefano Percassi, General Corporate Director Andrea Fabris, General Institutional Director Umberto Marino, Commercial & Marketing Director Romano Zanforlin, and Secretary General and Main Contact Marco Semprini.
UEFA was represented by its delegate Diana Bulgaru, while the mayor of Bruges, Dirk De Fauw, also attended the event.
