Champions League: Atalanta opponents unveiled
Meet the teams the Nerazzurri will face in the 2024/25 UCL league phase
The draw that determined the Nerazzurri's opponents in the UEFA Champions League's new single 36-team League Phase was staged at the Grimaldi Forum in Monte Carlo. Atalanta will play Real Madrid (Spain), Arsenal (England), Celtic (Scotland) and Sturm Graz (Austria) at home, Barcelona (Spain), Shakhtar Donetsk (Ukraine), Young Boys (Switzerland) and Stuttgart (Germany) away.
The 2023/24 UEFA Europa League winners Atalanta were drawn in POT 2, meaning they will play two opponents from each pot (pot 1: Real Madrid and Barcelona; pot 2: Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk; pot 3: Celtic and Young Boys; pot 4: Sturm Graz and Stuttgart), for a total of eight games (4 at home and 4 away).

The top eight overall advance directly to the round of 16; sides finishing from ninth to 24th will contest the knockout phase play-offs, with the victors going through to the last 16. From then on it is a straight knockout.
