Atalanta U23s stumble in Caserta, going down 1-0 to Casertana at the Pinto stadium in the 2025/26 Serie C Sky Wifi MD14 rescheduling.

The game started with a big chance for the U23s: Misitano met Simonetto’s cross with a header that rattled the crossbar. The home side responded and came close to breaking the deadlock in the 22nd minute, first with Toscano’s shot narrowly missing the target, then with Vono’s header, also just off target. Casertana broke through in the 35th minute as Casarotto finished off a long ball inside the box. The Nerazzurri bounced back and created two big chances before halftime: in the 42nd minute, Obrić headed on a corner only for a defender to make a crucial clearance, and a minute later, Misitano came close again, his shot blocked almost on the line by the Rossoblù defense.

In the second half, Vismara kept the Nerazzurri hopes alive with a crucial stop on Llano’s shot in the 52nd minute. A minute later, Misitano heads on a corner and, after a deflection, the ball finds Comi, who can’t quite control it for a clear chance. At the 84th minute, things get tougher as Obric is sent off for a last-man foul. In the dying moments, the U23s threw everything forward and in the 97th minute came close to an equalizer on a counter with Cissé, only to be denied by a decisive defensive intervention.
