Casarano 0-1 Atalanta U23s
Nerazzurri back to winning ways
Atalanta U23s bounced back to winning ways, picking up their first three points of 2026: at the Giuseppe Capozza stadium, Cissè's goal proved decisive in the 1-0 victory over Casarano.
An excellent game start for Atalanta U23s, who set the tone in the first half by coming out of the blocks fast, pushing forward and creating several chances. In the 5th minute, Berto found space in the box and met a corner with a header, but his effort sailed just over the bar. The breakthrough came on 20 minutes: Panada clipped a long ball forward for Cissè, who capitalised on a defensive mix-up from the hosting defence and broke the deadlock with a swift toe-poke to open his league account. On 35 minutes, the hosts were reduced to ten men, as Barone hauled down Vavassori as the last man with the striker bearing down on goal. Before the break, Bocchetti’s lads went close again, with Panada driving forward and slipping the ball through to Vavassori, who held off his marker and pulled the trigger, only for the goalkeeper to get a strong hand to it and push it out for a corner.
After the break, with the man advantage on their side, Atalanta U23s shut down the spaces and managed possession, while Casarano tried to push for an equaliser but never truly threatened. Clear-cut chances were few and far between throughout the second half. Right at the death came the game’s final opportunity: a three-on-one Nerazzurri counter-attack, with Levak bearing down on goal, but he failed to make it count, firing straight at the goalkeeper.
