Atalanta U23s 6-2 Az Picerno
Nerazzurri hit a perfect six in Caravaggio for third straight win
It’s three wins in a row for Bocchetti’s Nerazzurri, who cruised 6-2 past AZ Picerno in Caravaggio in a true black-and-blue goal fest courtesy of Misitano (2), Manzoni, Vavassori (2) and Riccio.
An action-packed first half unraveled in Caravaggio, with Atalanta drawing first blood on 11 minutes with Misitano, cunnigly turning in Vavassori's assist, and then doubling their lead on 18 minutes: after a fine move by Vavassori and a save on Ghislandi’s shot, Manzoni was quickest to pounce on the rebound and make it 2-0. Picerno however fended off the double-deficit immediately, pulling one back just a minute later through Santaniello, who found space in the box and beat Vismara with a right-foot finish. The visitors then drew level in the 27th with Veltri's headed finish from a set-piece.
In the second half, the Nerazzurri went back in front with a stunning long-range strike from Vavassori in the 54th minute, before our number 11 struck again eight minutes later, capitalizing on a goalkeeper’s error outside the box to double his tally. From one brace to another, Misitano bagged his own in the 77th minute after Steffanoni brilliantly won the ball from a Picerno defender and laid it on a plate for our number 9 to slot home. The Nerazzurri sealed the game in the 91st minute as Riccio capitalized on Cissè’s pass into the box, slotting past Summa.
