Atalanta Under-23s claim the full three points in style by imposing themselves over Renate to extend their domestic winning streak with an emphatic 4-0 walkover!
THE REPORT
The first half saw Atalanta U23s put up a flawless display. With the hosts threatening since the opening minutes whilst remaining on top of the game, the goal was not long in coming: on 14 minutes De Nipoti broke through the opposing lines with a pinpoint pass to free Vavassori, who edged past Nobile with a finesse play before prodding the ball into the net with a right-footer. With a spring in their step, the Nerazzurri went all out with the goal of doubling their lead pronto: while in the 29th Manzoni brought forth the black-and-blue counter and unleashed Alessio, whose shot ended up too lukewarm and on 34 minutes De Nipoti finishing high after a great give-and-go with Alessio; it was Bernasconi who made it 2-0 on 39 minutes by converting Vavassori's assist from the left flank with a scorcher. Despite Renate retorting just 2 minutes later, Dajčar proved himself well alert and parried Egharevba's shot.
Not tooling down, coach Modesto's lads first neared and then found the third in the opening of the second half: while Obrić's header brushed the outer post on 52 minutes, De Nipoti, in the right place at the right time, found the winning tap-in 2 minutes later on the rebound following Nobile's parry on Bergonzi's daisycutter cross towards an on-rushing Manzoni. 80 minutes on the stopwatch and another huge satisfaction for the black-and-blue lads as Sodero scored his first-ever goal as a Nerazzurro: upon vanquishing the opposing lines on the laft flank, Bernasconi laid the ball off to our number 39, who only had to prod it in to seal the team's haul
