Atalanta U23s 3-4 Benevento
Levak and Misitano on target for the Nerazzurri
The 2025/26 Serie C Sky Wifi MD24 saw Benevento win 4-3 in Caravaggio. The Nerazzurri, after falling behind early, had managed to turn the game around by scoring three goals, but in the second half the Giallorossi completed their comeback.
The match kicked off with the visitors taking an early lead as Lamesta outran the Nerazzurri defense to fire Benevento ahead 1-0. Atalanta responded swiftly, though, and just five minutes later Levak leveled the score, converting Bergonzi’s first-time cross after a clever through ball from Vavassori. Benevento threatened again in the 18th following a lapse in the midfield, but Atalanta hit back shortly after, with Levak completing a quick-fire brace with a headed finish from another Vavassori assist. Capping off an action-packed first half, Misitano notched one more for the Nerazzurri with a powerful right-footed strike across goal into the far corner.
In the second half, the visitors started strong, immediately testing Vismara, who responded well at 48’. Just a few minutes later, Benevento pulled one back through Pierozzi’s header from a set-piece. The Giallorossi continued their pressure, and at 53’ they hit the post following a scramble in the box. Ten minutes later, from a similar situation, Saio found the net to level the score. At 89’, Pierozzi was left unmarked in the area and headed home to give Benevento the lead once again. In stoppage time, at 100’, Zanaboni went one-on-one with Vannucchi but could not beat the goalkeeper.
