Atalanta U23s pick up points once again as the home clash with AlbinoLeffe culminates in a 1-1 draw.
A lively onset in Caravaggio, with Atalanta breaking the ice first on 11 minutes, when Navarro stung Marietta's gloves with a 3-pointer from the edge of the box.15 minutes on the stopwatch and then came Panada to string along the Nerazzurri's sortie, setting up Lonardo who, after dashing down the wing and cutting into the box, laid the ball off to Vlahović. Opting for a twirling finish, the Serbian striker saw his follow-up effort denied by the opposing keeper. The visitors then took the lead in the 21st with Zoma. The hosts didn't go down swinging and cracked the opposing defence on 42 minutes: after slicing through AlbinoLeffe's lines, Lonardo freed Vavassori in the box, with the black-and-blue no.11 squaring the score with a first-touch hook towards the far post.
Atalanta U23s picked up where they left off in the second half, going pedal to the medal from the get-go and nearing the tie-breaker twice: first on 51 minutes when Obric's header from a corner-kick taken by Panada hissed off target; and then in the 61st, when a triangle play between Panada, Scheffer and Bergonzi allowed the latter to break free into the box and have a crack at goal, forcing Marietta's deflection. On 68 minutes Scheffer played a ball forward to Vlahović who muscled his way through before getting a shot off, eventually defused by the opposing keeper. The last chance of the match went to the visitors with Boloca’s header, but Vismara was quick off the mark and pushed it out for a corner.
