The Nerazzurri's curtain-raiser to 2025 ends in a goalless honours even as Atalanta U23s draw 0-0 with Novara in Caravaggio.

First to threaten on 18 minutes, Novara earned a corner after Pardel's save deflected Morosini's shot. From the resulting kick 60 seconds later, Calcagni headed the ball goalward, but a well-alert Pardel curbed the visitors once again swiftly. In the 25th Panada has his go from distance on Vlahović's layoff, but the shot eventually hovered high over the crossbar. The first half ended with a Vlahović long-range effort that was expertly denied by Minelli.

The match tightened in the second half, despite both teams pushing to break the deadlock, but to no avail. While in the 63rd minute, Obrić thwarted Manseri's counterattack with a crucial defensive intervention, Vlahović pressed on with two back-to-back attempts on 76 and 78 minutes, both deflected off target by the opposition. In the 90th minute, Cassa had his go, but his attempt proved itself too feeble to trouble Minelli.
