Today’s Full Slate of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers
The final international break of 2025 is upon us and 14 Nerazzurri First Team players have been selected to represent their respective national teams in November, with many aiming to qualify for next summer's World Cup. Here are the outcomes of the matches scheduled on Sunday 16 November.
Nigeria were edged out by DR Congo in the final of the 2026 World Cup qualifying play-offs: after a 1-1 draw across 90 minutes and extra time, the shootout went Congo’s way, 4-3. Ademola Lookman featured for 57 minutes.
Italy were also defeated, falling 4-1 to Norway: Gianluca Scamacca came on in the 79th minute, while Bellanova and Carnesecchi remained unused substitutes.
Serbia, with Lazar Samardžić playing the full match, claimed a 2–1 win over Latvia, while Albania, captained by Berat Djimsiti for the entire game, fell 2-0 to England.
