Atalanta For Special reach Bussero final once again
The Nerazzurri reach the final for the third consecutive year
For the third year running, Atalanta For Special reached the final of the Bussero DCP Tournament. Having won the previous two editions, the Nerazzurri finished runners-up this time, losing to Milan on penalties.
The team, made up of players from the second and third levels and coached by Alfredo Locati and Claudio Asperti, began the tournament with a 2-0 defeat to Monza.
The Nerazzurri responded immediately, first beating Fiorentina 3-1 thanks to goals from Cordozo, Riva and Pezzotti, before claiming a 3-0 win over Inter in the Nerazzurri derby. Riva's hat-trick secured Atalanta For Special a place in their third consecutive final.
In the final, Pezzotti put Atalanta ahead, only for Milan to level shortly afterwards. The game remained finely balanced until the penalty shootout, where the Rossoneri prevailed. Atalanta's final spot-kick, in fact, stopped on the goal line.
The Nerazzurri can nevertheless take pride in an impressive runners-up finish and in a campaign that once again highlighted the team's progress and the value of the Atalanta For Special project.
