Atalanta For Special at the "La passione di Yara" tournament

Atalanta For Special were one of the teams taking part in the 9th "La Passione di Yara" tournament held this weekend in Valbrembo.
Together with three further Inter For Special peers, the Nerazzurri have contended the exhibition game showcasing a purposeful playing style and high tempo, to the amusement of the large crowd attending the event: 1-1 the final outcome with both the Pezzotti twins, sharing the pitch as opponents this time, featuring the scoresheet.
Knowing all too well how contagious and unyielding the desire and for football could be, the teams took the mix-matching up an extra notch by also rallying in a few saplings from the sides taking place in the "Pulcini" (Pewee) division. The upshot? A fully-fledged football galore with inclusivity as the name of the game.
To the Atalanta For Special expedition also took part coach Gianmario Lesmo, Stefano Bonaccorso, Technical lead of Grassroots football at Atalanta Academy, and Youth Sides psycho-pedagogue Lucia Castelli and Luca Pala.
Atalanta stalwart legend Gianpaolo Bellini, who lived and breathed the Nerazzurri colours on and off the pitch first as a player and now as a Youth Academy coach and executive, kept the black-and-blue banner flying high as the special guest of the event.
In his speech rich in emotional impact Fulvio Gambirasio, Yara's father, wished to underscore the prominent role of football as a vessel for true inclusivity. The event was also attended by Alberto Bassani, spokesperson of the Inter For Special side.
The For Special event wound up on a collective high with the prize-giving ceremony.
The "La Passione di Yara" tournament, arranged by ASD Accademia Calcio and GSD Paladina Calcio, was also attended by Atalanta's Pulcini (Pewee) and Under 12 sides.
