Atalanta and World Drawing Day
The works created as part of “La Scuola allo Stadio”
Every year on 27 April, World Drawing Day is celebrated. Established in 1962 in London by the International Council of Graphic Design Associations (Ico-D), the event recognises drawing as a universal language of communication, creativity and expression. It is one of the most immediate and accessible forms of expression, capable of transcending linguistic and cultural barriers and fostering inclusion and shared understanding.
Within this framework sits "La Scuola Allo Stadio", the Club's socio-educational project aimed mainly at primary and lower secondary students, long recognized by the National Observatory for Sporting Events of the Italian Ministry of the Interior for its educational impact.
The initiative includes a series of creative competitions:
- Atalanta: the mythology of the name
- My slogan against racism
- My slogan for fair support
- Teaming up against bullying and cyber-bullying
- Create your own episode of Meteoheroes!
These activities offer young paerticipants the chance to express their creativity and ideas.
The works showcased here are just a selection from those produced in past editions of “La Scuola allo Stadio”.
World Drawing Day therefore provides the perfect occasion to celebrate these creations as well, highlighting the importance of nurturing young imaginations and promoting initiatives that bring together education, culture, local communities and shared values.
