Atalanta Academy at the “Ciak EducAZIONE!” film Club
The event was held at the “Casa del Giovane”
With the maiden screening of the “Ciak EducAZIONE!” film Club taking place this week, 40 Academy players dwelling at the “Casa del Giovane”, the Bergamo-based hostel which celebrated its 50th anniversary this year, attended the premiere accompanied by Lucia Castelli and Luca Goi, members of Atalanta's psico-pedagogical staffing, together with educator Giulia Pagani.
Pivoted on the universal language of movies, the project is aimed at creating opportunities for socialization, dialogue and learning, in addtion to being linked to the larger “Outraged” initiative. The scheduling, to change monthly, will be unified by a focus on social topics such as: online harrassment, racism, sexism, omophobia and discrimination against political refugees.
The first movie to be screened was “Disconnect” by Henry Alex Rubin (2012): covering the subject of three interconnected storylines, the main topic of the film revolves around the addiction to social networks and internet and the way they affect the lives of the protagonists.The black-and-blue youngsters attended the screening with enthusiasm and sympathy before taking part in the interactive “Word Cloud” workshop on “online abuse”, leading motive of the movie.
