Alcione Milano 0-1 Atalanta U23s
Nerazzurri back to away win thanks to Vlahovic's 14th blow
Atalanta sent off 2024 with a bang by starting off the 2024/25 Serie C NOW's second half with the right foot as Vlahović hoisted the black-and-blue flag in the Ernesto Breda stadium with his 14th seasonal goal to jostle through Alcione's home defences and secure the visitors' 1-0 win.
On top of the game throughout the whole half, Atalanta only lacked the goal as the Nerazzurri couldn't find the right openings to leave their mark on the game despite the several offensive sorties. On 10 minutes Panada got things going with his attempt, albeit too central, before having another go in the 27th, as our number 10's free-kick chipped the crossbar.
Getting back on the field with a more outgoing outlook, the hosts neared the goal in the 51st: after Pardel laid his gloves on Bagatti's header, Marconi lunged on the rebound forcing Obrić goal-line clearance. On 68 minutes Pardel staved off Alcione once again with a great goalkeeping display on Palombi. The Nerazzurri retoreted in the 70th as Scheffer sent Vlahović's cross goalwards promptng Bacchin's parry. Who else but Vlahović to broke the deadlock, then? On 85 minutes, Cassa played the ball through for the Serbian number 9, who wasted no time and delivered in full to give Atalanta the full three point with his match-winner.
