2026/27 UEFA Conference League: the first draws are in
Atalanta's play-off opponents to be revealed on 3 August
The 2026/27 UEFA Conference League is officially underway. The sixth edition of the competition, and the third to be played under UEFA's revamped format, got started with the draws for the first and second qualifying rounds, held on 16 and 17 June respectively.
The road to the league phase will continue throughout the summer, with the third qualifying round draw scheduled for 20 July. Atalanta, meanwhile, will discover their opponents on 3 August, when the draw for the final qualifying round takes place to determine the final teams advancing to the competition proper.
Qualifying and Play-off Schedule
- First Qualifying Round: 9/16 July 2026
- Second Qualifying Round: 23/30 July 2026
- Third Qualifying Round: 6/13 August 2026
- Play-off Round: 20/27 August 2026
As in previous seasons, no team qualifies directly for the league phase. All 36 participants must earn their place through the qualifying rounds, with each club's entry point determined by the UEFA coefficient ranking of its national association as teams from the highest-ranked federations enter the competition at later stages of the qualification process.
All ties are contested over two legs, home and away. Once the play-offs have been completed, the full line-up for the 2026/27 league phase will be confirmed
