2024 Xmas Match: charity auction already underway!

We have kick-off for the charity auction of the 26 shirts worn during Atalanta's 2024 Xmas Match 2024: specifically furnished for the Nerazzurri’s last home game before Christmas, and coincidentally also the last match of the calendar year, the special kit was sported by the whole roster last Sunday during the team’s 3-2 home win over Empoli.

Entering its 14th edition, the initiative stems from a joint venture with the regional broadcaster Bergamo TV (channel 15 on digital terrestrial and also available for streaming) with all proceeds to be donated to the Associazione Amici della Pediatria charity through the “Fondo Atalanta” trust set up by the club with the Foundation of the Bergamasca Community Onlus.

Upon its opening on Monday, December 23 during the live broadcast of the sports program "TuttoAtalanta", the charity auction will wind up on Monday, January 13 with the final awarding of the jerseys.

As for the Day 1 rankings, De Ketelaere, de Roon and Pašalić currently lead the opening chart being placed at 1500, 1000 and 800 euros respectively. Starting today, updated bid amounts for all 26 jerseys will be shared on TuttoAtalanta's social media channels, Bergamo TV's website, L'Eco di Bergamo's site, and here on our website. The next update will be posted on the evening of Thursday, December 26.

All proceeds will be then devolved to charity in their entirety, on behalf of the Fondo Atalanta (Atalanta trust fund) established at the Fondazione della Comunità Bergamasca Onlus (Bergamo Community Foundation) Associazione Amici della Pediatria onlus, which has been supporting the Bergamo hospital since 1990 (now ASST Papa Giovanni XXIII), to create a waiting room named 'Wait & Play' on Hospital Street for all the children who come to the paediatric outpatients' department for treatment, examinations and follow-ups. The waiting time is used to play, which is the child's "work" to grow. The activities offered can be carried out independently, without the presence of professionals or volunteers, experimenting with their own skills and challenging the children present to foster relationships and sociality. Experiencing the hospital by encouraging play highlights the importance of play in a child's life.

The shirt will be available for purchase in all Atalanta Stores, both brick and mortar shops (one in viale Papa Giovanni XXIII 31, one is at the Gewiss Stadium with access from viale Giulio Cesare and the other is at BGY Airport after the security checks) and online. The 2024 Christmas shirt will be on sale from 12 pm on Friday 20 December.
