2023/24 Lega Pro fixtures: the feedback from our Sporting Director Fabio Gatti

Fabio Gatti, Sporting Director of the Under 23, has commented the unveiling of the official schedule as follows: "We can't help but get carried away by the excitement: we're plunging ourselves into an entirely new adventure, playing in a division where household names of the Italian football are a regular. We still have much to learn, we are conscious of that, and thus we will take on this new adventure in the Serie C with the right amount of humility, respect; without overlooking our trademark grit, we are ready to pull our weight’’.

‘’Moving on to the schedule, despite the rather bumpy start being the first thing catching my attention, If you actually give some thought to it, you notice how there will not be room for complacency throughout the season: while all the other teams drafted in our Group already come with a great baggage of know-how and experience in the tournament, we, being rookies, still have to make a name for ourselves and try our hands with the competition’’.

In conclusion: ‘The main goals will be supporting and fostering all our Academy players throughout this new endeavor: despite their enthusiasm and talent, these will be their first steps in professional football and we have to stand by their sides.  Even more so given how the responsibility of providing all our players with the necessary instruments to take on the hardships and challenges Serie C entails lays entirely  on our shoulders. There's nothing left to do but throw ourselves into it!”.
