August is here: with new friendlies on the horizon and the season’s start drawing near, the regular Wallpaper Wednesday is back! What better moment to kick off the 2025/26 series of official Atalanta wallpapers than the first stop of the German tour? Here are 5 snapshots from Leipzig, featuring firsts, confirmations, surprises, and the joy of returning to the pitch with the Nerazzurri colors always shining in the background.
Though unofficial and awaiting the green light on August 24, these touchpoints covered every corner of the game from the pitch to the technical area. From coach Ivan Jurić’s first test match at the helm of Atalanta following the launch in Clusone, to the new faces of the Nerazzurri summer who continued their buildup with valuable minutes after their Val Seriana business card: Kamaldeenho Sulemana, Honest Ahanor and Marco Sportiello, for whom it felt more like a warm welcome back than a first appearance.
Nothing short of explosive was Gianluca Scamacca's double comeback instead, not only on the field but most importantly up there where he shines brightest... on the scoresheet: picking up where he left off, our number 9 did it his way and etched his name where it belongs with a trademark golazo. And speaking of stunners, shoutout to Lorenzo Bernasconi: taking the (Red) Bull by the horns, the U23s enfant terrible turned the match on his head with a volley as delightful as it was decisive. A true balistic feat from our number 47, no stranger to turning heads as last season’s GOTM nods confirm.
Rounding out the quintet, the Nerazzurri tide in the stands of the Red Bull Arena, proving that passion for Atalanta -summer football or not - never takes a vacation.
