Remembering Cesare Bortolotti

Today marks the 35th anniversary of the passing of Cesare Bortolotti, who served as President of Atalanta from 1980 until his untimely death in 1990. He tragically lost his life in a road accident on the night of 7–8 June 1990, at the age of just 39.

Appointed at the age of 30 succeeding his father Achille in 1980, Cesare Bortolotti became the youngest president of a professional football club at the time.
Under his leadership, Atalanta reached the semi-final of the Cup Winners' Cup in the 1987/88 season.

The entire Atalanta family honours his memory with deep respect and affection.
