Primavera: Fiorentina 0-0 Atalanta

The 2024/25 Primavera 1 matchday 16 fixture saw the Nerazzurri hold Fiorentina to a 0-0 draw at the Stadio Curva Fiesole at the Viola Park in Florence, with Atalanta having several chances to open the scoring.

The stalemate reigned supreme at halftime due to a rather speculative approach adopted from both sides: while the hosts threatened on 15 and 30 minutes with Bertolini and Tarantino respectively, a superb Zanchi suggested otherwise in both instances. Then came the black-and-blue retaliation through Simonetto, whose finish was unfortunately wide. Both teams went close to breaking the deadlock in the final minutes of the first fraction of the game, with Baldo hitting the crossbar for Atalanta.

The Nerazzurri threatened in the opening minutes of the second half, with clear-cut chances for Riccio and Bonanomi. A few minutes later, Riccio tried his luck again, but was once again denied by the Viola defenders, who also thwarted Baldo's attempt before Zanchi pulled off two great saves in the 77th minute first to deny Rubino and then Tarantino, to keep the score at 0-0 and snatch an important draw at the Viola Park game in Florence.
