Nerazzurri to wrap up the season away at Roma next weekend
Atalanta's final home clash of the season saw visiting side Cagliari edge 1-0 at the Centro Bortolotti.
A tight first half idled by in Zingonia as neither side could break the deadlock: while Cagliari drew first blood in the 18th minute with Trepy's left-footer ballooning over the bar, Atalanta looked to hit back with a Mencaraglia shot from the edge of the box, which failed to hit the target. Just before halftime, Cakolli nearly broke the deadlock was it not for a last-ditch clearance by a Cagliari defender. Moments later, the visitors almost snatched the lead, rattling the crossbar from a corner kick situation, yet found themselves unable to capitalise on the resulting rebound.
In the 66th minute, Ramaj rose highest to meet a free-kick, but his header flew straight at Iliev, who blocked the Nerazzurro's effort with ease. Cagliari found the breakthrough in the 79th as Achour tucked Vinciguerra's right-flanked cross in from point-blank range to score the goal that eventually sealed the Rossoblù's 1-0 win in Zingonia.
