For Special: training session with a treat!

It was a truly momentous and out-of-the-box afternoon for the Atalanta For Special team as the scheduled mixed-ranks training session with the Under-18s side was taken up a notch by the surprise visit of first-team coach Gian Piero Gasperini.
Accompanied by his "second-in-command" Tullio Gritti, not only did the black-and-blue caretaker take the time to have a chit chat with the players, fellow manager Lesmo and his staff, but he also stayed on to watch part of the session.
Right before kick-off, a group photo was taken, a cherished memento of an unforgettable afternoon filled with emotion. Also present was Gian Carlo Finardi, Assistant Head of the Youth Sector.
Then came the time to get down to business on the field: packed with pace and intensity, the mixed match with the Under-18s side turned out to be a football galore, with goals coming thick and fast from both sides. In short, it was a hard-fought contest where players stopped at nothing to strike a good figure.
