All-out attack after the break, but it ends 0-0 with Lazio

A barrage of chances and twice on the woodwork for the Nerazzurri, still unbeaten in the league

Points were shared at the New Balance Arena as the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive MD7 ends in a 0-0 draw despite Atalanta's laying siege throughout the second half and hitting the woodwork twice. Now the only unbeaten side so far, the Nerazzurri climb up to 11 points in the standings.

Despite the fast-paced opening, the first half idled by until the 31st minute, when Lazio managed to sting Carnesecchi's gloves from a free-kick taken by Basic. Then Guendouzi came knocking in the 39th as his shot sailed wide of the post. Atalanta responded with Zappacosta, whose 43-minute finish from the edge of the box was met by Provedel's low save.

The first major chance of the game came right after the resume and came courtesy of the Nerazzurri, with De Ketelaere's whipping in a weighted cross from the right flank and Lookman nodding it mere inches over the bar on 50 minutes. Then came Éderson five minutes later: set up by Lookman's cross, the Carioca sent it straight at the keeper. As the Nerazzurri gained ground, Ahanor almost got his goal but couldn't connect on Pašalić's headed lay-off following a corner-kick. In the 68th Krstović broke through on goal, only to be denied at the eleventh hour by a key sliding tackle from Gila. Atalanta neared the breakthrough once again in the 71st as Provedel drew out a top-drawer save to deny's Lookman shot at the bottom corner. From the resulting corner-kick Krstović rose highest and sent a looping header, with Provedel coming out unscathed thanks to a deflection off the crossbar. The Nerazzurri came excruciatingly close in the 81st, when the post first denied Zappacosta's point-blank strike before Provedel walled off De Roon's follow-up shot with a diving save. The last chance came and went, with the New Balance Arena clash against Lazio ending in a goalless draw.
