Points were shared in the "Bergamasco Derby": coming from behind to nullify the hosts' double lead, Atalanta U23s clinched a point by drawing 2-2 in Zanica at the end of a true coming-of-age display from the team.
THE REPORT
The match opened up with Vlahović being the first to threaten in an attempt to convert Panada's through pass but the Serbian striker's effort was nullified by Marietta. The hosts eventually took the lead in the 13th minute through Zoma, who hit the target with a ranged volley from outside the box. On 37 minutes Dajčar proved himself well alert and defused the opponents' 2-against-1 counter as he parried Mustacchio's finish with ease. A rather tricky first half thus culminated with the Nerazzurri trailing by one goal at halftime.
The situation festered even further for the Nerazzurri in the second half as the hosts doubled the lead thanks to Palati's 53-minute bicycle-kick goal. In the 72nd, it was Vlahović who put the game back in contention and pulled one back for the Nerazzurri following a finesse give-and-go with Alessio in the box. On 80 minutes, Artesani put the cherry on top of his first-ever professional appearance by scoring the equaliser with a crackerjack finish after receiving the ball in the heart of the box.
